Sustainability has become a key feature of our society. Likewise, respect and care for people and the environment are also top priorities for the creators of Florens Lake Resort & Spa. It is a great privilege to be able to build Florens Lake Resort & Spa at this pristine location on Lake Brienz.
The resort has been designed to be as sustainable as possible. Our architects have made every effort to integrate the complex into the surrounding natural landscape. We strive to reduce the carbon footprint of the resort as much as possible. This is achieved by using lake water for most of the heating and cooling. 90% of electricity consumption in the resort comes from hydro-electric power from the region. Furthermore, nearly half of the resort consists of forest and meadows, which have a positive effect on the CO2 footprint.
Respect for this particular location not only plays an important role during the construction and design of the resort, but also during our guests’ residence. Our restaurants will serve organic, seasonal and sustainable fare to the greatest extent possible. Fruit, vegetables and other foods will be sourced mainly regionally from organic farmers. We will also provide a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
